In fact yoga = meditation, because both work together in achieving the common goal of unity of mind, body and spirit which can lead to an experience of eternal bliss that you can only feel through yoga. The meditative practices through yoga help in achieving an emotional balance through detachment. One of the far-reaching benefits of yoga is the uncanny sense of awareness that it develops in the practitioner of an impending health disorder or infection. How often do we find that we are unable to perform our activities properly and in a satisfying manner because of the confusions and conflicts in our mind weigh down heavily upon us?

There are many benefits to be achieved from yoga, and these are just a few of them.

1. Yoga helps in the flushing out of toxins from every nook and cranny of your body as well as providing nourishment up to the last point. This leads to benefits such as delayed aging, energy and a remarkable zest for life.

2. Yoga acts in a wholesome manner on the various body parts. This stimulation and massage of the organs in turn benefits us by keeping away disease and providing a forewarning at the first possible instance of a likely onset of disease or disorder.

3. Yoga increases the lubrication of joints, ligament and tendons. The well-researched yoga positions exercise the different tendons and ligaments of the body.

4. Yoga is also an excellent way to tone your muscles. Muscles which have been flaccid and weak are stimulated repeatedly to shed excess fats and flaccidity.

5. Yoga offers a total detoxification of the body. It gently stretches the muscles and joints as we as massaging the various organs, yoga ensures the optimum blood supply to various parts of the body.

6. Yoga is known to amplify flexibility; yoga has postures that trigger the different joints of the body. Including those joints that are not acted upon with regular exercises routines.

7. Yoga massages all organs of the body. Yoga is perhaps the only exercise that can work on through your internal organs in a thorough manner, including those that hardly get externally stimulated during our entire lifetime.

Do you believe in angels?

Imagine there was an angel watching over you who you could call upon for guidance in your daily life. What would you ask for? Health, wealth, happiness or spiritual harmony? First you need to learn how to connect with these celestial beings. Most people find their first encounter with their guardian angel is by “accident” This can often happen at times when you are most relaxed, usually when you are about to fall asleep or have just woken up. You may receive a visitation in your dream, see an image or sparkling lights. You may feel your angels connecting with you through other channels such as sound. You may here the sound of your name or music. This can be something as simple as a song on the radio that has special meaning for you. The important thing is to be aware and look out for signs. 

The best way to communicate with your angels is to confide in them as you would a close friend. Share your thoughts and feelings either in your head or speak aloud. Angels will sense that you are in a receptive state and meditation can help you to do this. You can teach yourself to meditate or use a guided meditation CD such as Angel Workshop by Jacky Newcomb or Healing with the Angels by Doreen Virtue.

Some people enjoy creating rituals such as lighting candles or using crystals to make your meditation feel calmer or more special, but it is not essential. You may also want to try writing a letter to your angels and outline any issues you would like to receive guidance for. The process of writing down your thoughts and feelings can also be healing in itself.

Signs that your angels are communicating with you can include finding white feathers in unexpected places, sensing something soft surrounding you,  the tinkling of tiny bells or smelling a sweet floral fragrance when  you sense your angels are near. Don’t forget, you may experience one, all or none of these signs. Everyone’s experience will be different and individual.

Rose Quartz is often called “The Love Stone” because of its emotional healing properties. It is associated with forgiveness and compassion and can create a wonderful calming influence. Molly Harrison was born in 1968 in Berkeley, California and grew up not far from there in a small coastal town and artist community. When talkin about her home town Molly says “Its unmatched beauty and charm is imbedded in my heart and soul, and though I live in the valley now, I can still taste the salty air that is forever in my heart.”

Here is a paragraph taken from Mollys Biography.

“I am a wife and a mother of two beautiful children. My experience in art comes from many places. Art is part of my family, I can remember sitting by my grandfather in his studio watching his hand gracefully float over the page. His barns, boats, fields, and animals kept me (and still keep me) in complete awe. And he would give me paper and paint and patiently let me try. My parents , husband, and friends have always encouraged me which I am forever grateful. Art is something that comes from deep within. But it is important to be encouraged by people around us. I am a true believer that if one is allowed to be creative, the spirit will have hope, happiness, and passion.

Being forever inspired by mystique and myth, I have somewhat unintentionally chosen the fantasy world of faeries and other mythical beings as my way of embracing the world of art. I use mainly watercolor and ink as my medium of choice, but I don’t like to be limited. I have been awe struck by beautiful fantasy masterpieces as far back as I can remember; so I guess this is where I belong. People ask why fantasy art? It’s just what I love I guess. I believe that there is more than meets the eye in just about everything, and that includes our world. The mystique in history, legends, and fairytales is something that keeps us searching, keeps us growing, and sort of ties us all together. All art is a form of expression, whether it be symbolic or straightforward. I am definitely an emotive artist which can be good and bad and I’ll just leave it at that. I am still searching my heart and hand for that one masterpiece, and maybe when I’m 90 (if I’m so lucky) I’ll find it. Until then, this is a fantastic journey that I’ll endure.

One of my main inspirations, besides nature, spirit and soul, has been children’s books. I find the soft, lightheartedness in many of the works of art out there soul quenching. With the birth of my daughter (in 1998) and then my son (in 2002), I was reunited with the magic and hominess of storybooks”

Items you will need:

3 Blue Candles
Piece of Paper
Blue Pen

Draw a picture of yourself (It doesnt have to be good!), or you can use a photograph. Draw a circle on the picture, where the healing is needed. Colour in the circle with the Blue pen so you have a Blue dot on the picture.

Stand the 3 Blue candles on top of the paper. Light the candles and repeat the following 3 times:

Healing be mine
Come to me, wash over me
Im feeling fine
So mote it be.  

Let the candles burn all the way down. Carry the piece of paper with you until healing has been recieved. When it has, burn the paper.
